Introduction to Quilting - Town Square



Join us a learn to make a quilt top in this two evening class. The class will focus on proper cutting techniques, how to ensure you are sewing with a accurate 1/4" seam allowance, and the proper ironing techniques to ensure that your quilt top is square and that your points match! 

Night one will focus more on cutting and the beginning of piecing the blocks *There will likely be homework after night one*
Night two will focus on finishing up the blocks and putting the quilt top together

We will be using the Town Square quilt pattern from Fabric Cafe. The Pattern will be provided

Materials needed: (about $60 for materials to make the top)

3 fabrics: 1 yard each - I had a focal print and then two coordinating prints that matched my focal

Thread - I always sew with a neutral light grey or cream thread

Supplies needed: 

Sewing Machine
Pins
Rotary Cutter
Quilting Ruler (preferably 24" long)
Scissors
Seam Ripper
